Until now, traditional Cataract surgery involved the use of a manual surgical blade to open the eye and capsule supporting the lens, which increased the chance of outcome variability. How does LenSx® work?
LenSx® Laser machines provides surgeons with real time video imaging, with 3 three dimensional visualisation of the entire anterior segment, for greater surgical accuracy than before. Surgeons use the high-res visualization technology to guide the process and ensure properly shaped and custom-centered incisions with precision and safety. The Laser softens the cataract and helps it to break up easily without any trauma to the eye. LenSx® further enables surgeons to remove the tiny pieces of cataract smoothly and provide better positioning of the replacement lens for the patient.
